Library staff will be here:
Security staff will carry out regular patrols overnight but may not be able to answer enquiries about library services. Every day during the exam period we'll be giving you the chance to find one of our golden tickets at the Albert Sloman Library and at The Forum, which entitle you to a free drink from Happy Days or Nosh on us. Look out for information on Twitter and Instagram each day on where to find them, and see the full Terms & Conditions here.
We're making Special Collections on the first floor of the Albert Sloman Library available as a supervised silent study space from Monday 24 April until the end of exams, 9am-5pm. Further information, including times when the room will not be available, can be found here.
We're also providing a small area for you to take a break and relax on the ground floor of the Albert Sloman Library. From Monday 24 April, you can chill out on a bean bag, play Jenga, leave your worries in our Worry Box to be shredded or do some therapeutic colouring. Both the silent and the relaxation areas are in response to what you said you would like us to provide when we asked you via our whiteboard, and you can continue to leave messages for us - or each other - there throughout exams.
We've got some themed book displays and reading lists coming up throughout exams, including books to help you study, de-stress, and take your mind off revision altogether. We're also proud to present our joint SU/Library BAME book display from Monday 24 April to Fri 5 May. Come and leave your suggestions for how we can diversify our collections, and let us know whether a BAME book group would appeal to you.
