List of Law Commission Reports and Consultation Papers
Law Commission Reports (see also
consultation papers)
This list includes all Law Commission Reports published since it was
established in 1965 –
The Library holds most Law Commission reports and they are held as part of the
'Parliamentary Papers' collection.
Except for those marked * below which have a class-mark if they are held by the Library, all Law Commission reports are located at Parliamentary papers and Microfiche 1
To obtain a hard copy of any of these reports from the Library you need to request them from the Circulation desk citing Parliamentary Session year and House of Commons number or Command number.
Some early reports were not issued as parliamentary papers and so are catalogued individually – the library class-mark is given in these cases.
Reports issued as part of the Law Commission’ s programmes of reform appear as House of Commons Papers. Other reports – typically those on topics referred to the Law Commission by the Lord Chancellor – appear as Command papers.
The reports are thus arranged in the list below by Law Commission number,
which is followed by title, and then the right hand column gives the Session
year plus the Command (Cmnd or CM)or House of Commons number of the report that you require
to obtain them from the Library.
